We will completely support it in the Delorean release, and the "symlink
widelink disable" command will go away.

Fred,

We should support it, but there are known problems with it. We have had
a couple of customers where DFS redirects to the ONStor break until our
own DFS support (i.e. widelinks) is disabled.

If they DO hit a problem doing DFS redirects to the ONStor, and they
DON'T want to use widelinks on the ONStor, they can issue the command
"symlink widelink disalbe" for virtual servers with DFS redirects to
them, and Windows DFS should work fine.

Otherwise it's a crapshoot, as we've never been able to pin down what
the problem is.

DFS for case 4791. Washington U.

Do we support dfs replication?
Thanks -Fred

From customer:
I have a Win2k3 server that is my file & print server for my faculty &
staff domain. They need more disk space (of course) so the OnStor is the
ideal place to put them. The problem is we would like to implement DFS
at the same time. The reason we want DFS is that we need to change all
the login scripts to reflect the change in server name (we can't use the
old server name due to the print server functions the server does) so we
might as well do it once & do it right.

Assuming the OnStor does DFS could it also possibly be used as a target
for DFS replication? That would be extra sweet because then I could set
up the replication & have my data mirrored over automatically instead of
using some nasty robocopy scripts.
